Use Headphone but not Mic

My Headphone's Mic wasn't working. Or rather say they were unreliable. So, I wanted to use the headphone as speaker but not as mic. Turns out turning off the internal mic when headphones are connected is done by the hardware. However luckily the hardware is configurable by using

hdajackretask program from the alsa-tools package. It retasks the hardware ports (for example you can use mic port as speaker and connect two speakers to the computer). For me, I needed to keep the internal mic on all the times and the external mic off. So, for codec Realtek ALC295 (i.e. my hardware), I overrided the following pin configuration:

• Internal Mic, Pin ID 0x12 to Internal mic (This override prevents it from going to Not connected)
• Blac Mic, Right side, Pin ID 0x19 to Not Connected.
